21 Dec Masjid Opening Update
End of second Lockdown - Masjid re-opening
Congregational prayers will resume from Wednesday 2nd December 2020.
21st December 2020
We are pleased to announce the masjid will be re-opening following the second lockdown on Wednesday 2nd December 2020 and as a result, congregational prayers will resume as normal. No booking will be needed for Jummah prayers and entry will be on a first come first served basis. We will still be following government Covid-19 safety guidelines so you must wear a mask, bring a prayer mat, a bag for your shoes and do wudhu at home. However, please do not attend the masjid if you are over 70, under 12 or have underlying health conditions.
Noor Ul Islam continues to liaise with Muslim Council of Britain and other members of the Waltham Forest Council of Mosques to consult, share good practice and support each other. We will continue to review any Government announcement and developments as they happen and implement them accordingly. As always, our priority is to make sure that all our supporters, the community and all those attending the Masjid are safe.
In line with Government & Health and Safety Executive guidelines, a Risk Assessment has been carried to seek ways of reducing the risk of the spread of the COVID-19. Please click on the link below to see the full Risk Assessment.
In order for this to work, we respectfully ask you all to follow all social distancing and hygiene rules and regulations set by the Government and the Masjid.
All rules and regulations will be strictly followed by Noor Ul Islam Staff and you will not be allowed in if you do not follow the set guidelines.
