Everyone must complete the census and provide accurate information. It helps decide how services are funded in your area.

Every household should complete the census on Sunday 21 March 2021 or as soon as possible after.

You must complete the census by law. It is an offence to supply false information or to not complete the census, and you could be fined up to £1,000. Some questions are clearly labelled as voluntary. It is not an offence if you do not answer these.

You will be sent a letter with an access code and details of how to complete your form online. The census should take about 10 minutes for the household questions and 10 minutes per person.
