Ramadan 2023

Fill your month with Noor this Ramadan

Our theme this Ramadan is Noor or “The Light. This perfectly encapsulates the essence of this blessed month, as we strive to bring light into our lives. Allah’s light illuminates the heart and provides guidance.

It was in the month of Ramadan that the Quran was revealed as guidance for mankind, clear messages giving guidance and distinguishing between right and wrong. [Quran 2:185]

Allah is the source of all light and guidance. He revealed the Qur’an to illuminate our way. He sent the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to guide us to Him.

"Allah is the Guardian of those who believe. He brings them out of the darkness into the light." [Quran, 5:257]

This month, let us strive to bring light into our lives, deepen our connection with Allah, and amplify our acts of charity and kindness.

Let our hearts be filled with the light of faith and the light of the Quran

The true purpose of Ramadan is to seek Allah's light and to use it to guide one's actions and thoughts throughout the rest of the year.

This year, like last year we plan to use part of the new building for Ramadan. We will be offering a small range of programs InshaAllah.

-Daily Tarawih Prayers: Join us for daily Tarawih prayers, led by knowledgeable and inspiring Imams.

-Interfaith Iftar: An event for those from all faiths and none to come together to share an iftar meal with us in Ramadan

-Masjid Appeal: Help us complete our masjid. Give Light-Get Noor

-Ramadan Charity: Help us make a difference in the lives of those in need by participating in our Zakat and Fitra Appeal.

-Eid Prayers: Join us in celebrating the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr

Ramadan Appeal

Light upon light! Allah guides whoever He wills to His light. And Allah sets forth parables for humanity. For Allah has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of all things. ˹That light shines˺ through houses ˹of worship˺ which Allah has ordered to be raised, and where His Name is mentioned. He is glorified there morning and evening. (Quran 24:35-36)

“In His infinite mercy, Allah has sent the light of Ramadan to erase the night. He has sent the month of the Qur’an so that He might elevate us and bring us from our isolation to His nearness.” Yasmin Mogahed
