Ramadan 2023

Fill your month with Noor this Ramadan

Our theme this Ramadan is Noor or “The Light. This perfectly encapsulates the essence of this blessed month, as we strive to bring light into our lives. Allah’s light illuminates the heart and provides guidance.

It was in the month of Ramadan that the Quran was revealed as guidance for mankind, clear messages giving guidance and distinguishing between right and wrong. [Quran 2:185]

Allah is the source of all light and guidance. He revealed the Qur’an to illuminate our way. He sent the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to guide us to Him.

"Allah is the Guardian of those who believe. He brings them out of the darkness into the light." [Quran, 5:257]

This month, let us strive to bring light into our lives, deepen our connection with Allah, and amplify our acts of charity and kindness.

Let our hearts be filled with the light of faith and the light of the Quran

The true purpose of Ramadan is to seek Allah's light and to use it to guide one's actions and thoughts throughout the rest of the year.

Ramadan Appeal

Light upon light! Allah guides whoever He wills to His light. And Allah sets forth parables for humanity. For Allah has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of all things. ˹That light shines˺ through houses ˹of worship˺ which Allah has ordered to be raised, and where His Name is mentioned. He is glorified there morning and evening. (Quran 24:35-36)

“In His infinite mercy, Allah has sent the light of Ramadan to erase the night. He has sent the month of the Qur’an so that He might elevate us and bring us from our isolation to His nearness.” Yasmin Mogahed
