This Ramadan fulfil your Islamic duty of Zakah and Fitra through Noor Ul Islam. Give your Zakah and Fitra to Noor Ul Islam to support those in need both in the UK and overseas.
Giving Zakah is an obligation decreed by Allah (swt) upon every sane, adult Muslim who owns wealth that exceeds the value of the Nisab. Making a Zakah donation – 2.5% of one’s wealth – is fulfilling a pillar of Islam, and the very foundation of faith. The Arabic word ‘Zakah’ means purification, growth and blessing. Much like how a plant grows healthier and better after being pruned, our wealth is purified and cleansed through the giving of Zakah donations.
“My Mercy extends to all things. That (Mercy) I shall ordain for those who have God-consciousness and give their Zakat and those who believe in Our Signs.” (Surah Al-A'raf 7:156)
Working with Muslim charity, we have a number of projects that you can pay your zakah towards.
Fitra
Fitra is an obligatory charitable donation all Muslims are required to make during Ramadan. It stems from the third pillar of Islam, Zakah, which refers to giving to charity in order to please Allah (SWT) and become both a better Muslim and a better member of the community by giving to those less fortunate.
“The Prophet (PBUH) enjoined the payment of one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakat ul Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the Eid prayer."
- (Bukhari)
Fitra
Please pay your Fitra (£5 per person) to Noor Ul Islam via the website or in our Office by the 26th Ramadan.
Your Fitra will then be sent to those who desperately need this by Eid day.
Zakah
We work with charities that run a number of humanitarian projects locally and internationally. We ensure your zakah goes to where it’s most needed
