Please note that there is no fee to join the pre-school waiting list.
Registration Fee
When your child is offered a place at the pre-school, parents are requested to pay a non-refundable £30 registration fee. For parents unable to pay this fee please speak to the pre-school manager when your child is offered a place.
Universal Free Early Education Entitlement
Every child between the ages of 3 and 5 years is entitled to receive the Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) for up to 15 hours a week at a registered early years setting. Noor Ul Islam pre-school is registered to receive this grant and parents will not need to pay any additional top-up fees for the 15 hours. We offer this as 3 hour sessions between 8:45am – 11:45am or 12:30pm – 3:30pm Mondays to Fridays. Alternatively parents/carers may choose to send their child in for 2 full days, 8:45am – 3:30pm (subject to availability), using only 13.5 hours of their entitlement.
If a child is taking up the entitlement across two settings parents must indicate this on their child’s Parental Declaration Form. To find out more about how the FEEE works in the London Borough of Waltham Forest please click here.
Extended Free Early Education Entitlement (30 hours)
Under the Government scheme parents/carers are entitled to an annual free early education and childcare entitlement (FEEE) of 30hrs per week over 38 weeks per annum, which equates to 1140hrs per year. Noor ul Islam Pre-School offers sessions of 6.75 hours of childcare per day (8:45am – 3:30pm) to 3- and 4- year old children. The setting operates during term-time only (38 weeks per annum) and therefore offer the annual FEEE as 30hrs per week over 38 weeks per annum.
Working parents/carers who want to just take up their FEEE (up to 30 hours per week) can do this and are able to do so over 3 days (subject to availability), alternative days will be offered where preferred days are not available (subject to availability). Parents/carers are therefore able to take up the remaining balance of their FEEE (9.75 hours per week) with another provider opened for the same number of weeks per year should they choose, to ensure that they are able to take up their full entitlement hours. Parents /carers do not have to do this if they don’t want to take up their full entitlement. Entitlement to a free place does not offer a guarantee of a place at any one provider.
Please check here for eligibility. If you are eligible please provide the pre-school with your unique code.
Families taking up more than the universal 15 hour entitlement will be asked to pay a deposit of £150 to secure your child’s place. This deposit will be refunded at the end of your child’s first term of regular attendance.
Fees for hours in excess of the FEEE
Parents/carers choosing to purchase childcare hours which are in addition to their free early education and childcare entitlement hours will be charged a rate of £7.50 per hour from September 2025. Our fees are reviewed annually.
Tax-Free childcare
We are a part of the government’s Tax-Free childcare scheme. If you need to pay fees and are eligible, the government will pay £2 for every £8 you pay your childcare provider via an online account. Find out more about this scheme here.
Early Years Pupil Premium
The Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is additional funding early years settings receive to improve the quality of provision for disadvantaged children. It applies to children in receipt of the FEEE. To find out more about the eligibility criteria for the funding please click here.
Late Fee
The morning sessions finish at 11:45am, the afternoon sessions finish at 3:30pm. Parents are expected to be punctual in collecting their child. If any parent arrives 10 minutes or more late to collect their child (i.e. 11:55am/ 3:40pm or later) they will be charged a late fee of £5.00. This fee applies even if parents have asked someone else to collect their child and they are late.
Meals and Snacks
Children staying full days will need to bring in a packed lunch, we do not provide lunches.
The pre-school will provide snack to the children in each session; parents will be £1.50/week for this (children attending for 5 full days per week will be charged £2/week). Any parent who may have difficulties paying this should speak to the pre-school manager.
Book Scheme
Children are offered the option of joining the pre-school’s book scheme which allows them to choose a book to take home at the end of each week to read with their families. To join this scheme parents/carers have to pay a deposit of £5.00, which will be refunded to them when the child leaves the pre-school. Parents will lose this deposit if books are returned damaged.
